ISLAMABAD: Trade policy for the fiscal year, 2008-09 envisaging import targets of more than $22 billion has been approved by the government. Announcing the trade policy for the fiscal year 2008-09, the minister for defence/trade, Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar has said that the government's focus in the recently announced budget for 2008-09 was to take the benefits of development to the common man.

PESHAWAR: At least 10 militants were killed and five security personnel sustained injuries during last 48 hours in the ongoing operation against militants in Hangu district, ISPR confirmed Friday. Official sources said Friday that security forces backed by gunship helicopters and artillery were continuing the clean-up operations in the suburbs of restive Zargari town in Hangu.
