Infinix Hot 4 Review

Design & Display

The device comes into the plastic body to make you feel comfortable while holding it in hand. Due to its plastic body, you may be expecting a lightweight phone, but that is not the case with Hot 4. It has a large 4000 mAh battery that makes it a bit heavier, and it weighs 175g. The front body is almost captured by the display that is covered by a bezel. It surrounds and designs the frame around the whole body and covers the edges to make them smooth. The 5” display is high-definition IPS and contains 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The Auto-Bright feature adds more brightness to the display for your clear view when you are taking shots in the sharp sunlight. The display has decent and cool colors.

Battery Life

The huge 4000 mAh li-ion battery is non-replaceable and makes the device heavier. However, the battery provides an excellent backup to the phone while you are playing your favorite videos on it. The Quad-core 1.3GHz processor combined with 2GB RAM runs the videos nicely. Only sometimes, you face the lags while playing a 3D game. Otherwise, on video playing, there are no hangs. On moderate usage of 3G network and 50% brightness level, the battery provides 24 hours backup that is more than enough for the average users.

Camera Performance

The device comes with the 8MP rear and 5MP selfie camera. To capture great shots is indeed the remarkable feature of Hot 4. The front facing camera contains the LED flash light that makes your selfie bright and clear even in the poor light. The Autofocus feature of the rear camera works the best in the bright atmosphere. However, in the poor light, the result is average. You can capture videos in 3GP and MP4 formats. The video colors are cool, but not earth-breaking.

  • The price is affordable.
  • It supports 3G network.
  • The display has decent viewing angles with natural colors.
  • The multi-functioning Fingerprint sensor is very quick and responsive.
  • The13MP and 5MP cameras make it a distinguished Smartphone among its rivals in the same price.
  • The display of the phone is not up to the mark. It is cool, but the users were expecting a lot more in the Hot 4.
  • The loudspeaker is generic. Although, it is audible the voice comes out terribly.
  • There is no notification LED light in the phone.
  • The touch is a bit less responsive as compared to many other phones from Infinix.
  • The battery is non-removable.

The specifications in this average price are remarkably excellent. The User Interface is quite smooth with soft animations. You can play games on it, but it creates slight problem while you play heavy games.
