The Pakistani rupee has once again gained ground against the US dollar, increasing by nearly Rs2 in the inter-bank market. During intra-day trading, the local currency hovered at Rs278.50, marking an upward movement of approximately 0.70 percent.

The rupee had reached its low point in early September but was brought back on track through stern measures and a significant crackdown, leading to one of the longest periods of appreciation in recent times.

In the previous session, the PKR had experienced losses as the currency fell to 280.29 after briefly touching Rs275 in the interbank market.
