On Friday, despite an increase in gold prices in the international market, the local market in Karachi witnessed a decrease in prices. According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of per tola gold saw a minor decrease of Rs50, closing at Rs211,300. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by Rs42, settling at Rs181,156.
In contrast, the international market experienced a $20 increase in the price of this precious commodity, reaching $1,987 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the price of silver remained stable at Rs2,800 per tola and Rs2,400.54 per 10 grams, respectively.
