In Mian Channu on Sunday, Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son, Asim Jamil, met a tragic end.
Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Mian Channu reported that Asim Jamil, the son of the renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, was fatally shot. However, the circumstances surrounding his untimely death remain shrouded in mystery.
Maulana Asim Jamil allegedly inflicted a gunshot wound to his chest, leaving the motive behind this act undisclosed.
Reports suggest that Maulana Asim Jamil was urgently rushed to the Talamba Rural Health Center in a critical condition, but sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Punjab Police Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwer has taken notice of Asim Jamil’s tragic demise and has promptly requested a detailed report from the Multan Regional Police Officer (RPO) regarding the incident. The Inspector General has emphasized the importance of relying on concrete evidence and a forensic report to establish the cause of Asim Jamil’s death.
A spokesperson for the Punjab Police has verified the presence of Khanewal District Police Officer (DPO) and other senior police officials at the crime scene, where they diligently collected pertinent evidence.
