About 3,100 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past week, revealing sixteen new coronavirus cases across the country. Fortunately, the case positivity rate remained low at 0.52 percent, and there were no critical patients during this period.
An official from the Ministry for National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination underscored the government’s commitment to fortify Border and Health Services in preparation for potential sub-variants of COVID-19. Surveillance systems at all entry points, including airports, remained active and continued to perform rapid tests and passenger screenings. It was also noted that 90 percent of the population had already received COVID-19 vaccinations.
