Ali Raza Abidi shot dead in Karachi, assassination CCTV footage

Karachi: The former MQM-P MNA Ali Raza Abidi was shot dead in Karachi by the unknown men on Tuesday night. The attackers attacked the former member of the National Assembly just outside his home in Khayaban-e-Ghazi.

The two assailants were following the car of Abidi on their bike and as soon as his car reached his home, the bike stopped and one attacker shot more than 6 to 7 bullets and killed Ali Raza Abidi.

According to the officials, he was immediately shifted to PNS Shifa Hospital where he was declared dead. It is a great loss for the whole MQM-P and Pakistan. He was such a nice man.

The guard of Ali Raza Abidi was inside the house when this incident happened. And it took only 10 seconds to the attackers to open the burst on Abidi. He sustained around four bullets in his chest, arm, and neck.

Before the death of Ali Raza Abidi, two PSP workers were shot dead in the locality of Usmania Society. Also, earlier this month, six people got injured in the milad gathering of MQM-Pakistan in Gulistan-e-Jauhar due to a low-powered blast.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Farooq Sattar, the senior politician claimed that Ali Raza Abidi was receiving death threats from different sources. It is a clean targeted murder and the attackers should be caught as soon as possible.

As the police continue to investigate the murder, the guard of Ali Raza Abidi is taken into custody.

His funeral prayers were offered after Zuhr on Wednesday at Imam Bargah Yasrab in DHA.
