Orders to provide compensation to the LDA City file owners have been passed

Lahore: There is good news for the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) file owners as Mehmood-ur-Rashid; Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development has ordered to compensate all the affectees. Earlier, Supreme Court ordered to form a committee that was required to submit a report related to the settlement of the issue within 10 days.

The provincial housing minister, NAB officials, and the Punjab chief secretary are all the part of the formed committee.

During the visit to the LDA site, Mehmood-ur-Rashid showed his concern over this serious issue and asked to take immediate steps to give relief to the affectees of LDA City.

S M Imran, LDA Vice Chancellor was also there who asked the authorities to gather new development partners to solve the issue as soon as possible. Also, the LDA officials got some directions from the Vice Chancellor to review the ownership documents along with the revenue department.

The scheme is going to be divided into different phases. The LDA officials got directions to divide the scheme into phases to easily compensate the affectees.

For this, the authorities are directed to develop an area on Ferozepur Road along Buchar Khana distributary.

There are around 9,000 LDA City affectees who are desperately waiting to get compensations.
