We won’t let you resign; CJP supports Dr. Yasmin Rashid in private university case

Lahore: The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar supported Dr. Yasmin Rashid for being an honest person in today’s hearing related to private university case in Supreme Court Lahore Registry.

Talking with the Chief Justice, Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the opposition is demanding my resignation on your remarks. On this, CJP told that you are an honest person and your whole career is clear. We won’t let you resign by any means, he added.

Further, CJP said that many people have also been conducting campaigns against us. It does not mean that we stop doing our work. Therefore, there is no need to stop working, continue your work, he added.

Earlier, Chief Justice had criticized the Punjab health minister on kidney and liver transplantation case.

The Chief Justice then asked about the law of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute. He expressed his anger and said that Punjab government lacks in capabilities, and therefore, we should end this case.

Dr. Yasmin said that we are working on this; there is no need to worry. On this, CJP said that you are not doing anything.

The performance of the Punjab government is not satisfactory. Your performance is also limited to words, CJP added.
