No connections of Khalil’s family to terrorism: JIT Initial Report

Lahore: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has presented its initial report regarding the Sahiwal shootout to Punjab’s Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Tuesday.

According to the report, the killed persons were all innocent, and they were not terrorists. The JIT has found no evidence of their links to terrorism, and the CTD officials are found the culprits.

The report was presented in a high-level meeting that is chaired by the CM Punjab. The Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat and Senior Minister Aleem Khan also attended the meeting along with the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home, IG Police, and other officials of different agencies.

After the Sahiwal incident, the JIT was asked to submit its report in 72 hours that was ended today at 5 PM. But, according to the AIG of Punjab Police, Syed Ijaz Hussain Shah, it was not possible to submit the complete report today at 5 PM.

Talking to the media, the Punjab Law Minister said that CTD had been directly involved in the brutal killing of innocent people. The family of Khalil did nothing wrong. The Additional IG and the IG of CTD have been removed from the designations. And all the other responsible persons have been fired, he added.

All the CTD officials who were involved in the incident will be sent to the Anti-Terrorism Court, Basharat added.

Update: According to 92 news, the car under use of Zeeshan was owned by a terrorist named Adeel Hafeez, who was killed in Faisalabad. Also, Zeeshan’s picture with terrorist Usman is now public, Usman was also killed in Faisalabad.
