Hindustan Times reported that Pakistani COAS had approached Indian COAS for talks and both of them had served in a UN Peacekeeping force in Congo. But the news is totally incorrect.
On this report, DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted that the story made by Hindustan Times is not based on true facts. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa had neither approached the Indian COAS Gen. Bipin Rawat nor they both served in Congo together.

Indian media always talks negative about Pakistan and makes false news every time to show their innocence and dominance. Also this time, they did spread the news that Pakistani COAS approached Indian COAs for peace talks, and it is just a piece of crap.
A lot of Indian media channels were covering the speech of Indian COAS Gen. Bipin Rawat on Wednesday where talking to the media, he said that if Pakistani COAS wants peace talks with India, he should come through Indian government. He said that I am not saying yes or no, we will think about that as peace and terror can’t work together.
