Young Doctors Association Ends Up Strike

Young Doctors of Sindh province call off the strike after three days as the government has given in to their demands. The Young Doctors Association Sindh has announced on Wednesday that they have decided to end up the strike as the Sindh Govt has agreed to fulfill their requirements.

They demanded that their salaries and allowances should be on a par with Punjab and KPK. They boycotted the OPDs and thousands of patients were forced to move towards the private hospitals due to this strike.

Saeed Awan, the newly appointed health secretary, Dr. Pir Manzoor, the President of Pakistan Medical Association Sindh, Dr. Umar Sultan, Young Doctors Association Sindh and Murtaza Wahab, Advisor to the Information Ministry Sindh conducted a meeting. He announced that the Govt. has agreed to increase the salaries and allowances of the young doctors on a par with KPK and Punjab. He further said that the summery of the demands would be forwarded to the CM regarding the increment in salaries and allowances.
