KARACHI: More than 480 officers from various departments have agreed to return the illegal funds voluntarily.
According to the sources from the Provincial Government, corruption cases had been registered against more than 480 Govt. officers from different departments. Resultantly, they all are willing to return the black money voluntarily to the Govt. According to the reports, the list included the 311 officers from Education and Literacy department, and the secretaries from the SGA&CD are on the top of the list The report was submitted to the Sindh High Court.
The Sindh High Court directed the administration that the accused officers cannot continue their professional duties until they refund the payment or get enrolled in the voluntary return scheme. The official from the Provincial Government further stated in the Court that the list includes the details regarding 50 officers from Municipal Government, 27 from irrigation department, 26 from Nutrition, 15 from Finance, and 15 from Works & Services.
