ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of NAB, Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal approved the request to issue the arrest warrants of Asif Ali Zardari, the former President of Pakistan and Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party.
According to the source, the arrest warrants have been issued for mega Money Laundering case against Asif Ali Zardari. The premier is facing the money laundering case against him and his sister Faryal Talpur.
Islamabad High Court had approved the extension in his sisters and his bail against money laundering case till June 10. However, the NAB Officials stated that they have solid pieces of evidence regarding Asif Zardari’s direct involvement in Money Laundering through fake bank accounts. The Bureau has solid proves to arrest him. The NAB officials also submitted the record against Asif Ali Zardari to the Islamabad High Court.
