A blast occurs in Johar Town: 2 Dead and 17 Injured

An explosion took place in Allahu Chowk, Johar Twon Lahore. Two people died and several injured.

LAHORE: An explosion occurred in Johar Town Lahore on Wednesday. Two people died and 17 injured in it. The injured people include a woman, two children, and a policeman. The bomb disposal team and news reporters arrived at the crime location. According to the CCPO Lahore, Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, the investigation of the matter is underway and the Bomb Disposal Squad will soon find out the hidden details of the explosion.

The witness explains that the blast was so powerful that the nearby buildings were affected badly. The explosion shattered the window panes and damaged some vehicles parked at a nearby site.

The injured people have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital by using auto-rickshaws and cars. Two people died while the treatment was going on for their injuries. Their death was confirmed by the hospital’s superintendent. The management of Jinnah hospital has requested people to donate blood for injured people.

An eyewitness explained that an unknown man parked a motorcycle near a house and later, it exploded. The affected area has been cordoned off by the police and the traffic has been allotted to use an alternative way.

Now, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the interior minister took notice of this incident and sought a report of the matter from the IG Punjab and the chief secretary.
