Karachi: From Monday, a rapid increase of 10% in Corona cases has been noticed. Due to this alarming situation, the Sindh government has decided to re-impose a ban on all private functions and event halls. Restaurants will also face a ban. The restaurants will not be functional. However, people will be allowed to get home delivery and takeaway services from them.

In the same way, all markets, shopping centers, and business plazas will remain open from 6:00 AM till 6:00 PM. However, the grocery stores, pharmacies, and bakeries will remain functional without time restrictions.

The provincial government has also put a ban on gatherings at shrines due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases. An emergency meeting headed by CM Sindh Government Murad Ali Shad was held where the authorities took this decision.

According to the news, the provincial educational institutes will remain closed till the next decision. Only the examinations will be organized according to the schedule. The health secretary of Sindh province declared in the meeting that the ratio of COVID-19 has hiked to 10.3% in the entire province, but the situation has become worse in Karachi that is facing this pandemic at a ratio of 21.58%. It’s quite an alarming situation that forced the government to take this initiative.
