
China announced 100 million yuan (10 crore) aid for flood victims and rehabilitation after the devastating floods hit many areas of Pakistan.
Chinese President and Prime Minister have expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with Pakistan over the loss of so many lives and properties due to devastating floods in Pakistan. However, China announces an aid of 100 Million Yuan for flood victims in response to which Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Dr. Arif Alvi have expressed good wishes for China.
The message on behalf of the Chinese leadership was delivered by Ambassador Nong Rong to Pakistan. “As always, the Chinese leadership and people have shown friendship and generosity to Pakistan. I am deeply grateful to the President and Prime Minister of China.”, said PM Shahbaz Sharif.
Earlier, the Chinese government announced the donation of 25,000 tents and other relief items for the affectees. Chinese flights will arrive in Karachi today and tomorrow with the first batch of 300 tents under the supervision of Chinese Ambassador. Besides China, other friendly countries including the UK, USA, Saudia, UAE, Canada, Turkey, and many world leaders extended support to flood victims in Pakistan.
Due to the recent floods in Pakistan, almost 1100 people have died, thousands are injured and millions are homeless. However, the flood-swollen rivers have destroyed many villages, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure in many areas of Punjab, KPK, Balochistan, and Sindh.
