According to ISPR, the Pakistan Army is deeply angered by the defamatory statement made by Chairman PTI Imran Khan about the COAS appointment during a political rally in Faisalabad.
ISPR said that it is regrettable to say that an attempt has been made to discredit and weaken the top leadership of the Pakistan Army at a time when this organization is working day and night for the security and safety of the people of Pakistan.
The behavior of senior politicians to stir up controversy over the appointment of the senior leadership of Pakistan Army is extremely “regrettable and disappointing”. Earlier today, Islamabad High Court’s CJ also censured Imran Khan for his remarks.
Yesterday, on 04 September 2022, Imran Khan while addressing a rally in Faisalabad said that Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif want to “appoint army chief of their choice through joint efforts” to save themselves from corruption cases. If the patriotic army chief comes, he will question them. They are sitting in the government to appoint their favorite army chief.
