Islamabad: The accountability court has canceled the arrest warrant of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the case of creating assets more than income and ordered him to submit a surety bond of one million rupees. The NAB prosecutor also supported the cancellation of the arrest warrant.
Ishaq Dar along with his lawyer Qazi Misbah appeared in court and pleaded for permanent cancellation of the arrest warrant. Qazi Misbah said that the order of confiscation of Ishaq Dar’s property should also be canceled. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the case against Ishaq Dar. After hearing the arguments of both parties, the court canceled Ishaq Dar’s arrest warrant.
A petition is also filed by Ishaq Dar against the confiscation of property and for permanent exemption from attendance in court, on which the court issued a notice to NAB and asked for a response by October 12 and adjourned the hearing till next Wednesday.
While talking to media representatives after his hearing in court, Ishaq Dar said that taking political revenge is not a new thing in Pakistan. He further said that there was no file against me but a case was made.
Talking about the economy, he said that the dollar is going up all over the world, but in Pakistan, the value of the rupee is getting stronger against the dollar. He once again claimed that in the next few days the value of the dollar will fall below 200 rupees.
