The X300 and X300 Pro are expected to be unveiled next month in China. We know this because Vivo indicated that there will be major changes compared to the predecessor phones.
Removed the “Mini” Edition.
The X300 Pro mini will now be referred to as the X300. This new strategy will streamline the series and justify the removal of the “mini” edition altogether.
Screen and Camera Improvements.
The LTPO screen will be 6.31 inches wide and will have a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone will also have a better looking design due to the slimmer bezels. The camera will have:
- 200MP Zeiss main sensor
- Zeiss APO lens telephoto lens and macro
- 50MP front camera with autofocus.
Vivo will be launching new phones with advanced camera technology, aiming to be a competitor in the more expensive segment of the smartphone market that brands like Xiaomi and Honor are also targeting.
Device Performance and Thermal Management
Based on leaks, we can expect Vivo to include a MediaTek Dimensity 9500, striving for flagship performance with a premium silicon. Dimensity 9-based chips have been paired with a 17% vapor chamber increase, useful for prolonged camera activities and gaming for mobile devices.
An ultrasonic in-display reader for fingerprint authentication is a Vivo expectation with about a 20% claimed acceleration on their last model.
Technological Improvements Concerning Audio Connectivity
Compared to X200, the X300 houses a USB 3.2 port, boasting LHDC facilitated wireless connections. Stronger Android competitors have started to offer these features, so Vivo is moving in the right direction.
