The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced that Bashir Memon, a former director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), is the new president of Sindh. Under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, this organizational change has taken place, and the previous provincial leader, Shah Muhammad Shah, now serves as the party’s vice president. The appointment of Mr. Memon was carried out in accordance with the powers granted to the President of PML-N under Article 13(b) of the party’s constitution.
Bashir Memon, who previously served as the convenor of the party’s Sindh greeting committee, had the primary task of welcoming PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif on October 21. Notably, Memon joined the PML-N on September 29, 2023, after his service with the FIA from October 2018 to April 2020.
